Dot, Hush and Honey collections at Ambiente trade fair

The Harrachov Glassworks is coming to the prestigious Ambiente trade fair taking place in Frankfurt, Germany. The glassworks will present the newest collections of drinkware as part of the Dot, Hush and Honey projects.

“Harrachov Glassworks is bringing to the largest consumer goods trade fair an entirely new concept and original products produced in collaboration with LLEV design studio. We presented our three brand new collections at last year’s Designblok festival, and we are now aiming to showcase them on the international stage. We firmly believe that these collections will draw deserved attention and will become a permanent fixture in our product portfolio,” says Harrachov Glassworks owner Petr Novosad.

The presentation has been organized under the creative directorship of LLEV design studio who hold the position of Head of Design at Harrachov Glassworks. The stars of this exhibition are the three new collections designed by LLEV design studio, produced exclusively for Harrachov Glassworks. They all show the producers’ skill in reading and dictating contemporary tableware trends. Each collection represents a different approach to contemporary glass design, but they share certain common features, such as an emphasis on handcraft and the respect for traditional techniques. The collections also showcase entirely new glass colors.

“The new products of the Harrachov brand were developed bottom up – from the cup. Each of the three sets is ideal for a different occasion, but they share a striking silhouette, a high level of functionality and the artisanal style so typical for handcrafted works. The glassworks even smelted three new colors for these projects: the first is honey topaz, the second is dark-grey smoke and the third is the grey-green color of the Krkonoše forests surrounding the glassworks. We designed the Honey, Hush, and Dot collections for everyone who appreciates fine glasswork by sight, touch and mouth, for people who will cherish them as a personal treasure,” say Eva and Marcel Mochal of LLEV design studio.

The HONEY collection was produced in a honey-jade color, and it dazzles the eye with its organic shapes reminiscent of pouring honey. It has a characteristically stable stem which gives both the glassware and vases a personable style and ensures they are pleasant to hold.

The HUSH collection is a sophisticated collection of smoky-dark glassware which masterfully combines geometric and organic shapes with subtle optical décor. This set embodies the essence of subdued luxury and perfectly presents the potential of hand-crafted glass.

The DOT collection uses colored glass grit applied in elementary shapes, creating a unique and original aesthetic. This innovative decorative feature makes every piece a true original and brings to the table an immensely expressive set.
